Acre is a unit of area in different systems. The most commonly used acre today is International acre. One International acre is equal to 4046.8564224 square meters. The acre is related to square mile.

1 square mile is 640 acres and 1 mile is 5280 feet ( 1760 yards ). One acre comprises 4,840 square yards or 43,560 square feet.

1 furlong ( furrow length ) <=> 660 feet  <=> 220 yards

1 chain <=> 66 feet <=> 22 yards

1 acre ~= (208.71 feet * 208.71 feet)

1 acre= 10 square chains
