Mathematics-Capacity

Capacity is defined as the ability to hold a particular amount of liquid or fluid. It is similar to volume. The idea of capacity is first introduced by Gustave Choquet.

Capacity of a set is one way of measuring sets size.

A bucket can hold maximum 5 litres of water means the capacity of bucket is 5 litres. The standard units for measuring capacity are Litre.

1 Litre = 1000 mL

1KL = 1000 L

What is the main difference between Capacity and Volume ??

    Volume refers to the space taken up by an object itself.  Volume measured in Cubic Units.
    Capacity refers to the amount of liquid or other fluid substance, a container can hold.
