Mathematics-Relations

Simply Relation is an existing connection. A significant association between or among the elements, here set element.

x is related to y, x is parallel to y are examples of Relation.

A Relation connecting two elements called binary relation. Mathematically binary relation can be expressed as set whose elements are ordered pairs.

If the element a in the ordered pair ( a, b ) has relation with the element b in the same ordered pair ( a, b ) . Then we can say that "a is in Relation R to b", simply write it as aRb.

R = { ( a, b ) | aRb }
